# Refresh a quote

> Get a fresh price for an existing quote, keeping its ID.

Requires the **Quotes** scope (read).

Use this when a quote has expired before you created the payment. You can also refresh a quote that's already used by a payment, as long as that payment is still waiting for the customer's money (`initiated`, `quote_locked`, `fiat_pending`, or `stable_pending`).

## Headers

**API-Version** `string` *required* (default: 2026-10-29-atlas)

Your account's API version.

## Path

**quoteId** `string` *required*

The quote ID, starting with `qte_`.

## Response

`200 OK`. Same shape as [Get a quote](https://docs.bridge.linkio.world/api-reference/quotes/generate.md#response), with `"message": "Quote refreshed"` and new `target_amount`, `rate`, and `expires_at`.

## Errors

| Status | Code | Why |
| - | - | - |
| `404` | `quote_not_found` | No such quote, or it was deleted 10 minutes after expiring. |
| `409` | `quote_locked` | The quote's payment has already received the money, so the price is final. |
| `503` | `route_temporarily_unavailable` | No partner can price this right now. |
| `504` | `request_timeout` | A partner took too long. |
